Over the years there have been events that, for whatever reason, just stuck with us. Some of them, like the dances, are staples of anime conventions everywhere. Others are unique to us. We bring these events back each and every year, improving them as they grow along with the convention.

This anime convention staple makes an appearance at Ikasucon with a high energy mix of anime and gaming music along with other electronic dance songs. Our featured DJs are excited to spin for you on Saturday night!
Formal Ball
If raving isn’t your thing, perhaps something a little more traditional might tickle your fancy. Come dressed in your best, and enjoy a nice, relaxing time with your fellow dancers.

Gunpla Builders’ Showcase
The Gunpla Builders’ Showcase is an amazing display of meticulously created Gundam models that anyone with the time to build can enter! The showcase will be on display all weekend long for everyone to view at their leisure.
Gunpla Builders’ Workshop
After seeing the amazing models on display at the Gunpla Builders’ Showcase, you might just want to try your hand at building these models yourself. We have just the thing! Our Gunpla Builders’ Workshop will take you step by step through the process of building a model. Feel free to bring your own model in to work on. If you don’t have a model, we will have High Grade RX-78 Gundam model kits available for $15 each. You can also come and watch others as they build!
Otaku Charity Auction
Our late night charity auction is back! Join Gideon Brown as he hosts a fun (and funk) filled evening. It’s a $5 buy-in to bid in the auction (plus a little extra if you go over that amount), and every cent we make goes to the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund. This event is 18+ only, so make sure you have your ID with you at the door!
Pokémon Trial Challenge
Do you have what it takes to be the very best? Throughout the weekend, intrepid trainers will have the chance to face our Trial Captains and Big Kahunas. Then, it’ll be time to face off against all of the other trainers in a tournament to name the Ikasucon Pokemon Champion!
